An interactive and personalized light exhibit is coming to Toronto this winter
FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Have you ever wanted to see an art exhibit that uses your own brainwaves to influence how it looks and sounds?
The Museum of Contemporary Art is granting your wishes with LUCID, an interactive, fully-immersive and personalized universe of sound and light.
The exhibit is powered by an artificial intelligence system. The “dream-like” experience lets your mind work in collaboration with the AI with a mere thought… because it responds to your brainwaves.

You can experience your LUCID session on-site at MOCA.
The exhibit’s website explains that it was conceptualized in response to growing mental health concerns within Toronto’s communities.
The site says that LUCID was created to provide an experience that clears the mind, explores the psyche, and helps you reach a blissful state of serenity.
Anyone can participate, from children to adults alike, because who couldn’t use some of that zen?
You can combine your experience with a visit to the Light Therapy room, which is filled with “generous amounts of light” to simulate the brightness of a beautiful sunny day.
