Mitch Marner is dazzling Maple Leafs fans as a 19-year-old rookie in the NHL, but his highlight reel as a 10-year-old just might be more entertaining.
Sit back, turn up the volume on your speakers, and enjoy Marner’s display of skill in minor hockey to the tune of Sandstorm.
What’s extra impressive about this video is how much smaller Marner appears compared to everyone else on the ice.
Size doesn’t appear to be much of an issue for Marner this year either, as he’s tearing it up despite being listed at just 170 pounds. The Leafs’ first round pick (fourth overall) in 2015 currently has a share of the team lead in points with James van Riemsdyk, with 18 points (7-11-18) in 21 games. He’s also tied with Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets for the league-lead in points by a rookie.
