Uber’s biggest rival is launching in Toronto this week.

After announcing its initial expansion outside of the US, Lyft is set to launch in Canada on Tuesday.

According to the company, the launch will take place on December 12, and will be hosted by Lyft’s Toronto General Manager Tim Houghton. Houghton is also expected to make an announcement regarding a partnership with SickKids Foundation.

Currently, Lyft operates in 40 states and claims to cover 94% of the US. The expansion into Toronto would be the company’s first foray into an international market since its 2012 launch.

Founded by Logan Green and John Zimmer, Lyft is the fastest growing rideshare company in the US. The company states that it is preferred “by drivers and passengers for its safe and friendly experience, and its commitment to effecting positive change for the future of our cities.”
