Lululemon adds 10K race to ultra-popular virtual SeaWheeze Half Marathon

Last month, Lululemon announced that it would be celebrating its annual SeaWheeze Half Marathon virtually, opening up the ultra-popular race to participants around the world.

Now, the company is expanding the event to even more runners by introducing a brand new 10-km race.

So not only is the event open to all participants (as opposed to the lottery system that’s taken place in previous years) but there’s another option for those who may not want to tackle a half-marathon.

This year’s virtual SeaWheeze Half Marathon and 10K will take place between August 15 and 23. All participants have to do is download the Strava app and complete their respective races in a single attempt.

The race can be done either outdoors or on a treadmill, so long as runners remember to run safely and follow local guidelines on physical distancing.

Entry to the race costs $28 USD, with part of the entry fee benefitting Vinyasa Yoga for Youth and Red Clay Yoga.

Each participant will receive a training program for either the half-marathon or the 10K, both of which include yoga and guided meditation. Participants will also receive an official SeaWheeze medal mailed right to their door.

Oh, and since it’s virtual, participants will be allowed to take part in both the Half Maraton and the 10k — if that’s their fancy.

Registration for SeaWheeze 2020 is open from now until August 23 and can be done online.
