How much money each Toronto Maple Leafs player is making in 2025-26

The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to get another season underway.

And while the Leafs historically are among the NHL’s most valuable teams, it’s not like they can simply pay their players more than everyone else.

Sure, they might not have to worry about spending all the way to the salary cap ceiling, but they’ve still got to play by the same financial rules as the NHL’s other 31 teams.

And without the big salary of Mitch Marner on the books this year after his high-profile departure in the spring, the Leafs’ payroll figures have been re-jigged a bit this upcoming year.

Auston Matthews remains the team’s highest-paid forward, as his salary ranks second behind only Edmonton’s Leon Draisaitl as the biggest deal in the league.
