More LCBO employees test positive for COVID-19

As Ontario’s daily COVID-19 cases reach record-breaking numbers, the LCBO has reported several positive cases in the Toronto region over the past weekend.

According to the LCBO, six locations reported cases across Toronto:

  • On April 10, an employee at the 2 Cooper Street location was reported to have tested positive and had last worked on April 3.
  • The same day, on April 10, an employee at the 785 Milner Avenue location in Scarborough was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. They has also last worked on April 3.
  • On April 11, an employee at the 2151 St. Clair Avenue West location was reported to have tested positive for the virus. They had last worked on April 5.
  • The same day, an employee at the 10 Scrivener Square location was reported to have tested positive for the virus. They had last worked on April 6.
  • On April 11, an employee at the 9970 Airport Road location was reported to have tested positive for COVID-19. They had last worked on April 8.
  • On April 12, an employee at the 80 Peel Centre Drive location in Brampton was reported to have tested positive for the virus and had last worked on April 8.

The LCBO has changed its store hours following the announcement of the province-wide Stay-at-Home order.

In an email to Daily Hive, the LCBO confirmed that all of its locations across Ontario are set to close by 8 pm as of April 8. Stores will continue to operate at only 25% capacity.

They had recently added Mondays back onto its schedule as well.

“As the province continues to ease COVID-19 restrictions, the LCBO has updated our operating hours, including opening on Mondays,” said the LCBO spokesperson.

“We continue to restrict capacity and hours in accordance with public health guidance across the province,” said the LCBO.
