A Toronto LCBO store has reported an employee testing positive for COVID-19 on Monday, adding to the growing cases across stores in the GTA.

On December 8, an LCBO located at 333 Eglinton Avenue West reported an employee testing positive for the virus. They had last worked on December 3.

The employee is currently self-isolating at home.

“This general notice is being provided out of transparency. Should we receive any Public Health direction or guidance, we will act immediately and accordingly,” said the LCBO in a release.

“The LCBO has several measures to keep employees and customers safe, including regular cleaning and sanitization, and in-store measures that promote physical distancing.”

Last week, six other LCBO locations reported positive cases among its employees within the GTA.

Several positive cases have also been reported at grocery stores around Toronto and the GTA.
