You can now get Korean-style churros in Toronto

Jul 4 2017, 7:11 pm

A little stall at Yonge and Finch next to Cooks Fine Food Market (home to delicious and cheap bulgogi burgers) is serving up a novel new sweet this summer. Korean-style churros are the specialty from Mr.Chu.

Like the classic Latin dessert, these sweets start with dough piped straight into the deep fryer. From there, each churro is looped into a tear drop shape and then served auĀ natural or glazed in chocolate, condensed milk, or cream cheese then rolled in toppings like sprinkles, Oreo crumble, peanuts, almonds, or granola.

As if these sweets aren’t indulgent enough on their own, you can try Korean churros atop a scoop of ice cream too.
