What’s on the menu (and what isn’t) at Toronto’s first Jollibee
Toronto’s first Jollibee is now open and fans of the Filipino fast-food chain have flocked en masse to the restaurant at Kennedy Commons to get their fried chicken fix.
Just be warned – before joining the queue – some signature Jollibee items are still absent on the opening menu.
Jolly Crispy Chicken by the bucket or in combos with a choice of sides including fries, steamed rice, buttered corn, and mashed potatoes and gravy are all accounted for.
And the fried chicken can also be paired with sweet, hot-dog-studded Jolly Spaghetti, or with shrimp, egg, and pork crackling-topped Palabok Fiesta.
Yum Burgers, Jollibee’s signature cheeseburgers, Burger Steaks blanketed in gravy and mushrooms with a side of rice, and deep fried Peach-Mango hand-pies round out the opening menu, but other famous favourites have yet to launch.
Obvious omissions that will hopefully make their debut on the menu sometime soon are the meaty breakfasts with garlic-fried rice, Halo Halo, and Spam sandwiches… not to mention the Aloha Yum is also MIA! The upgraded Yum Burger loaded with bacon, pineapple, lettuce, and honey mustard dressing is a must!
