H&M has reopened various store locations in the GTA.

The select stores reopening include: Toronto Eaton Centre, Bloor Street, Queen Street West, Heartland Town Centre in Mississauga, and Vaughan Mills Centre.

But, the stores will have reduced hours.

As per the local government guidance, retail stores that have street entrances can reopen in Ontario as long as they follow health and safety guidelines from the government.

“As health and safety is our main priority, we have taken measures to ensure that our stores are safe and clean for colleagues and customers,” the statement said.

Some of the health and safety measures that have been put into place include: deep cleaning; increased frequency of cleaning for high touch point areas throughout the day; prioritizing card payments; fitting room closures; pausing garment collecting; PPE for all the store employees; and plexiglass barriers at cashpoints.

Also, all returns will be held for 24 hours and after that time, items will then be placed back on the sales floor. For example, all items returned on Monday will not be placed on the sales floor until Wednesday morning

According to the retail outlet, customers and H&M employees will all maintain 6 feet distance throughout the store with floor stickers and audio notes to remind everyone.
