There's a Halo-Halo Holiday Pop-Up in Toronto this weekend
Celebrate the holidays Filipino-style!
The Halo-Halo Holiday Pop-Up market hosted by Cambio Market and Merienda is on in Toronto this weekend and promises two full days of shopping, eating and showcasing all things Filipino.
Distinguishing itself from the plethora of holiday markets happening this season, this market will feature a curated collection of conscientious brands designed and handcrafted in the Philippines.
Expect to find giftable items including handwoven duffles, backpacks, and throws crafted with centuries-old indigenous weaving techniques, upcycled jewelry made from vintage t-shirts, and greeting cards “that give dignified work to women who have overcome sex trafficking.”
To eat, a snack bar stocked with fresh takes on traditional Filipino favourites such as deep fried Halo-Halo and Sinigang fish tacos with ube fries.
