Premier Doug Ford is set to make an announcement on Thursday afternoon as COVID-19 cases in Ontario continue to escalate.

Recently, Ontario’s numbers have repeatedly broken record-highs with Wednesday’s 1,426, Tuesday’s 1,388 cases, Monday’s 1,242, Sunday’s 1,328 and Saturday’s 1,132.

After the premier’s press briefing, at 3 pm, Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams and Dr. Kevin Brown will provide the latest COVID-19 modelling and projections.

On October 29, the province provided an update saying November would have 1,200 daily cases.

The premier will be joined by Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade in Hamilton at 1 pm for the announcement.
