From free roti to latte art competitions to sausage making, the food events happening in Toronto this month are sure to keep you cozy.

Here’s what’s on in the city’s food and drink scene this February.

Butter Chicken Roti’s opening their new location on Queen Street East, and they’re offering free roti to their first 100 guests on February 1 and 2. Plus, all guests that come in on those days will be treated to a free samosa.

When: Friday, February 1 and Saturday, 2, from noon

Toronto Tea Festival

Are you a sipper or a chugger? Either way, you’re welcome here. Tea lovers will be able to enjoy hundreds of tea tastings, as well as opportunities to chat with industry experts at one of the many complimentary presentations at this three-day event.

When: Friday, February 1 from 12 pm to 7 pm; Saturday, February 2 and Sunday, February 3 from 10 am to 5 pm

Farm Boy Grand Opening

The city has been waiting patiently for the Leslieville location of Farm Boy to open since the first one opened in Etobicoke in 2018. Celebrate the grand opening of Canada’s Trader Joe’s with an abundant selection of the freshest foods.

This one-day festival is going to celebrate Canada’s craft chocolate makers. Bean-to-bar creators will be offering samples of their sweet treats and selling their bars and bites. Love cacao? Get here.

Ways to Wellness

Self-taught cook, food photographer and coffee enthusiast, Ronny Joseph of Primal Gourmet will be leading cooking demonstrations and sharing small bites at this free event at Yorkdale Mall.

Bean to Bar Chocolate Making

Explore bean-to-bar chocolate making in this two-day workshop chocolate experience. In the initial seminar, you’ll learn about single origin chocolates. At the next one, you’ll learn about the production of artisan-quality chocolate and create own one-of-kind chocolate from start to finish.
