St. Lawrence Market is hosting a three-day soiree next month

Toronto’s historic St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood is hosting a three-day summer celebration.

The Feast of St. Lawrence kicks off with a ticketed dinner on Friday, August 11 featuring contributions from top restaurants in the area including Biff’s Bistro, Barsa Taberna, Hawthorne Food & Drink, The Hot House Restaurant, Omni King Edward Hotel, Pearl Diver, The Sultan’s Tent, and Woods.

The five-course al fresco feast will be hosted along two continuous tables running the length of Front Street between Scott and Church) where 250 guests will dine on oysters and whisky, passed canapes and courses of beef tartare, salad, and cured salmon, prime rib, and mini desserts, complete with wine pairings.

The following day, Saturday, August 12, St. Lawrence Market and the adjacent Market Street take the party outside once again with a free-to-attend event featuring outdoor food stalls, patios, farm fresh produce, demonstrations, live entertainment, and a pig roast.

On Sunday, August 13, at nearby St. James Park, the celebrations continue with family-friendly programming including healthy snacks, smoothie-making by bicycle, activities, and entertainment.
