Toronto will soon be home to a second Farm Boy location.

The Eastern Ontario-based grocery chain already boasts locations across Ontario, and Toronto got its first store in Etobicoke earlier this year.

Set to open this winter, the new 20,038-sq-ft store, located at 1015 Lake Shore Blvd East, will create 130 new jobs and true to Farm Boy roots, will deliver local shoppers a world-class food experience and an abundant selection of the freshest foods.

According to the grocer, in addition to plentiful varieties of farm fresh produce, butcher-quality meats, artisan cheese and fresh dairy, residents can look forward to a great selection of locally made products and plant-based foods. Not to mention sweet and savoury treats made from scratch in the Farm Boy Kitchen.

As for busy shoppers looking to eat well on the run, Farm Boy will be serving up their fresh, delicious chef-inspired meals with a fast-casual restaurant experience that includes mouth-watering, flatbread pizza, stir-fries and freshly made sushi.

The store will also include a made-to-order fresh grilling station that will offer restaurant quality breakfast, lunch and dinner with daily features such as grilled paninis, seared Farm Boy sausages and gourmet grilled cheese all served hot and ready to take home or enjoy in the store’s Wi-Fi enabled eating area.

“Offering healthy, fresh, wholesome foods and friendly service has been the heart and soul of our business since 1981,” says Jeff York, Farm Boy co-CEO. “After opening locations in Etobicoke and Hamilton, we’ve received many requests from residents in the Toronto area asking us to open a Farm Boy in their neighbourhood. We are excited to share the news today with the Leslie and Lake Shore community and we promise to work hard to earn their business.”

The latest store is set to open winter 2019.
