A three-year-old child has died and another left with serious injuries after being struck by a car in Etobicoke on Tuesday morning, according to Toronto police.
Officers were called to the area of The East Mall and Burnhamthorpe Road at around 11:07 am for reports of a man and two children being struck by a car.

At 11:51 am, Toronto Police updated that the three-year-old succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead.
The second child was taken to Sick Kids and the driver of the car was also taken to hospital.
Roads in the area are closed and will remain so until later into the afternoon.
