Last week, Metro disclosed another case of the illness confirmed at the same location, wherein the staff member last worked July 4. The grocer also disclosed a case identified at the Food Basics located at 2550 Hurontario Street in Mississauga.

Prior to these new developments, Metro has disclosed cases of coronavirus at locations including Parkway Mall, West Queen West, Bloor and Spadina, College and Shaw, The Cold Chain Produce Distribution Centre, and more.

“We will always contact and follow the guidance of Public Health to ensure the safety of our teammates and customers whenever we are made aware of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of our food stores or distribution centres,” reads Metro’s website.

The grocer says its online tracker is continually being updated in an effort to keep the public aware of where cases have been confirmed.
