El Furniture Warehouse is taking over Sunrise Records on Yonge Street
The former landmark location of Sunrise Records has been sitting vacant for over three years. Now, finally there’s signs of life at the Yonge Street location; the folks behind El Furniture Warehouse are moving in.
The BC-born restaurant group is best known for its menu of cheap eats and already operates warehouses in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood and on Queen West, as well as a spin-off called The Dime.
The incoming location will boast two stories, the main floor and a mezzanine level. Construction on site has yet to begin, but owner Sean Young shares with Daily Hive via telephone that the aim is to have the newest “premium dive bar” open by August before the new school year begins.
