Convoy of trucks currently protesting along GTA highways (VIDEO)

If you’re driving on the Gardiner or the DVP this morning, you may have noticed that it’s a little noisier and more backed up than usual.

A convoy of construction and transport trucks are currently protesting along various GTA highways, causing quite the disruption.

While it hasn’t been confirmed what the truck drivers are protesting, some social media users are saying the drivers are upset about increased insurance rates.

From videos shared on social media, it looks like at least 20 dump trucks driving slowly along the Gardiner Expressway and the DVP, while honking their horns and slowing traffic down.

Many of the trucks have extension beds added to their load, though almost all are empty.
