Drake and Live Nation’s new live music venue is finally opening in Toronto this month.
The sprawling venue, called History, will officially open on November 7 with a sold-out performance by Bleachers.
“We are thrilled to bring History to life in Toronto with live entertainment that we know will elevate the city’s concert-going experience,” said Riley O’Connor, the chairman of Live Nation Canada.
“We can’t wait for both fans and artists alike to experience our newest destination music venue.”
Located at 1663 Queen Street East in the Beaches, History will make a “significant contribution” to the east end’s vibrant culture and community, Live Nation said.
Nearly two dozen concerts and events have already been booked for the coming months, including performances by Jack Harlow, Teyana Taylor, and Zeds Dead.

Although it has a 2,500-person capacity, Live Nation said History has an “incredibly intimate feel” and offers guests “up-close” entertainment that is unrivalled in Toronto.
Beyond concerts and other forms of live entertainment, it will be a premier venue for galas, private functions, and corporate events. A community arts program is in the works as well, which will support the artistic aspirations of local youth through exposure and financing.
The building features a state-of-the-art audiovisual system, multi-level layout, modern amenities, and a convertible setup.
Floor and box suites are available for VIP experiences, and a reservation of the side-stage comes with a private entrance, personal bar, and private washrooms.
A partnership with The Food Dudes will bring an “extraordinary and modern” culinary experience to the venue. General admission guests can grab Blondies Pizza, while those in the box and mezzanine spaces can enjoy a curated sharing menu.
With a wide array of eclectic music and arts programming in the works, some 200 events will be hosted at History annually. Tickets for upcoming shows at History are on sale now.
