A former Toronto Mayor’s complaint about gun magazines has actually made a difference.
Last weekend, David Miller tweeted a photo of gun magazines on a rack at a local Shoppers Drug Mart location.
“Really Shoppers Drug Mart, promoting semi automatic weapons at our local shop? How about you stop,” said the former Mayor.

To his surprise, the major pharmacy chain responded on Tuesday afternoon, saying they would no longer be selling these magazines in store.
“After hearing about this, we’ve decided to remove this issue from our stores,” tweeted Shoppers in response. “We are working on pulling all copies in circulation and will not receive any further shipments of this publication.”

It took three days for Shoppers to respond and make the decision. If only everything worked that quickly.
“That’s is brilliant. Very responsive and the right action,” said Miller.
