A captivating 5-day dance festival is landing in Toronto on August 14
For those who love a solid performance, the ideal festival is coming your way.
This year’s edition of dance: made in canada/fait au canada is poised to present a diverse line-up of acclaimed contemporary dance companies and artists from across the country.
The event will run from August 14 to 18 at the Betty Oliphant Theatre in Toronto.

The fifth biennial event returns this year with a special artist talk by dance icon and 2019 Dance Hall of Fame inductee Louise Lecavalier, alongside a screening of the recent documentary ‘Louise Lecavalier â In Motion.’
Attendees can anticipate five world premieres â from Sashar Zarif, DA Hoskins/The Dietrich Group, Molly Johnson, Kylie Thompson Dance, and the newly formed collective Seeking Bridge â and eight Toronto premieres.

The festival unfolds across three curated Mainstage programs, a lottery-based platform titled âWhat You See Is What You Getâ (WYSIWYG), and an ancillary Arts Encounters program that exhibits photography, media art, and more, created by dance artists.
While the event is in town, you can attend performances and participate in classes and workshops.
