Nineteen new positive coronavirus cases have been identified in Ontario.

According to the province’s latest update, one male in his 80s is currently hospitalized in Niagara, and it’s not clear whether he contracted COVID-19 through travel, close contact, or community.

Of the new cases, the remaining 18 are all listed in self-isolation.

Twelve of the cases are in Toronto, 4 are in Peel, 1 is in York, Waterloo also has a case, and there is one case in Ottawa, which is presumably Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.

A statement late Thursday evening by the Prime Minister’s Office indicated that the wife of Justin Trudeau has tested positive for COVID-19.

She was recently in London, UK for an event.

The majority of the recent cases have travelled, with Egypt and the US being two of the countries the patients had returned from.

As of Friday morning, 580 cases were listed under investigation, 74 confirmed cases, and 5 resolved.
