Slated to open in early March, Core Restaurant is coming soon to Queen East taking over the address formerly home to Braised in Leslieville.
While the menu for the restaurants is still in the works, chef and owner Hyung Jung (who goes simply by H) and partner Mark Moffat are planning a seasonally-driven Canadian bistro concept that draws influence from the French.
Once open, the restaurant serving dinner exclusively, to start, will offer à la carte selections along with multi-course tasting menus from its semi-open concept kitchen in a dining room encircled by exposed brick.
From the bar, expect a deep wine list dominated by local and Italian labels plus nightly wine flights and lineup of cocktails focused strictly on classics.
