Let's go to the EX: The CNE goes virtual this summer

Aug 18 2020, 4:20 pm

While the CNE is officially cancelled for 2020, there’s still a way you can enjoy the fun-filled event Toronto has loved for years, virtually.

CNE at Home will give you the ultimate experience from the comfort of your own home through their website from August 21 to September 7.

You’ll be able to enjoy some of the event’s most popular shows, delicious food recipes, music performances, and more.

There will also be virtual rides, ghost walks, and even a look back at the history of the CNE Grandstand, Aerial Acrobatic and Ice Skating Shows, as well as President’s Choice SuperDogs.

“How To” tutorials will also be shared on the site from beloved buskers and even how to make fan favourites like the Rainbow Grilled Cheese and 99 Cent Spaghetti.

Visitors can also support the CNE Foundation’s community and youth programs by buying a CNE Foundation 50/50 ticket, three for $5, 10 for $10, or 60 for $20.

If you purchase your ticket before August 21, you could win a prize for a Staycation at Hotel X Toronto after the NHL bubble has closed.

There will also be special events such as the 99th Annual Warriors’ Day Parade on August 22 and a virtual show of the Canadian International Air Show from September 5 to 7.

You can still enjoy the CNE right from home.
