Comfort food season is upon us, which means it’s time to tuck into the ultimate indulgence: a Korean rice dog.

And luckily for you, Canada’s first shop totally dedicated to the savoury snack is opening in Toronto tomorrow, at 11 Byng Avenue.

Chunchun Rice Dogs has more than 200 branches in Korea, Australia, China, Japan, and many other countries. Similar to a corndog, the treat’s popularity comes from the coating of sticky rice layered with fermented dough, offering a chewy and crispy, savoury experience.

To celebrate the spot’s grand opening, Chungchun Rice Dogs will offer all their rice dogs for $2.99 on October 23.

So grab your spare change and head on up to this new eatery on Wednesday afternoon, to get your fill of crunchy, chewy, carby goodness.
