Get ready to shop local while munching on latkes as Toronto welcomes its second annual Chanukah Market this weekend.

Presented by NoshFest, Toronto’s Jewish Food Festival, the Chanukah Market has moved from The Warehouse at Downsview Park to Artscape Wychwood Barns this year.

The event will welcome kosher food stalls and vendors selling everything from jewellery and beauty products to toys and gifts from 10:30 am to 4 pm on December 1.

Anticipate old favourites like Marty’s Pickles, plus newcomers like St Clair West’s newly-opened What A Bagel, Parallel, Aviv Immigrant Kitchen, and many more. There will also be cooking demonstrations from Amy Rosen, Carolyn Cohen, and Rooks to Cooks.

“We are planning a fun day where guests can nosh on traditional Chanukah treats and other Jewish-inspired cuisine, shop for holiday gifts, and enjoy music and cooking demos, ” says Andrea Segal, NoshFest co-founder, in a release.

“After a successful Chanukah Market last year, we are excited to bring an even wider range of vendors and to celebrate Chanukah with our community.”

Tickets are $10, and kids 12 and under get in for free. So grab yours, and get ready to snag local gifts while filling your belly with bagels and lox.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
