Get ready to shop local while munching on latkes.

Toronto will welcome its first-ever Chanukah Market to The Warehouse at Downsview Park on Sunday.

Presented by NoshFest, Toronto’s Jewish Food Festival, the Chanukah Market will welcome kosher and kosher-style food vendors, and vendors selling everything from jewellery and beauty products to toys and gifts.

Vendors include old favourites like Marty’s Pickles, Fat Pasha, Koshertrends and local newcomers such as MasaEats Food Truck, In the Manor, and Phancy Food Catering.

Sweets by The Artsy Baker will be available, too.

Most vendors will be accepting cash only, so keep that in mind as you prepare to head over to the event.

“We are planning a fun day where guests can nosh on traditional Chanukah treats and other Jewish-inspired cuisine, shop for holiday gifts, and enjoy entertainment and cooking demos,” says Michelle Gordon, NoshFest’s co-founder.

Tickets are $10, and kids 12 and under get in for free. The event will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for those in need.

Come ready to snag local gifts and fill your belly with bagels and lox. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
