Casa Loma has been recognized as one of the best historic sites in the province.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, because in addition to being a historical landmark, museum, and event space, the iconic castle can also classify itself as an upscale dining destination, a terrifying haunted house, and even a magical holiday attraction.

And this holiday season, the castle will be transforming into a classic tale.

According to the popular Toronto establishment, this year’s Casa Loma winter theme is A Nutcracker Christmas at the Castle.

The annual event will include the spectacular outdoor light displays, performances, food and drink options, as well as a holiday market.

The evening program is slated to run starting December 1.

“Enjoy new shows by famed illusionist entertainer Professor Wick and ice skating performers Glisse on Ice. These spectacles of illusions and wonder will amaze audiences young and old alike,” states a release about this year’s festivities.

“Guests will be surrounded by holiday magic throughout the castle which will be resplendent with holiday décor, including a 40ft tall tree in the Great Hall and eight other signature trees by talented Canadian designers.”

And as always, Casa Loma says that kids are invited to visit Santa in his castle workshop and participate in festive arts and crafts, visit with wintery holiday mascots, and much more. On weekends, Casa Loma will host special meet and greets with characters from Paw Patrol.
