Israeli chain Cafe Landwer opening first location in downtown Toronto
Cafe Landwer is already famous in the Land of Milk and Honey for its expansive menu spanning breakfast and brunch to lunch and dinner.
The cafe’s first-ever Canadian outpost in Toronto’s suburbs opened last spring but soon there will be no need to make the trip to Bathurst and Rutherford. According to a recent application for a liquor license, a location is going in at University and Adelaide.
Why should Toronto be excited for this new addition? Perhaps most unique on Landwer’s menu are the Israeli breakfasts – an expansive spread featuring a choice of eggs with salads, cream cheese, feta, eggplant cream, za’atar dusted labneh, chickpeas, halva, yogurt with granola and honey, jam and butter with warm bread, juice, and a choice of coffee or tea.
