A cute boathouse in Toronto is currently for sale and you definitely want to check it out.

Located in Scarborough bluffs, this one bedroom, renovated home on the water is selling for $325,000 — a home price not typically seen in the city.

While the home type is uncommon, these types of listings do come up every once in a while.

According to Zoocasa’s CEO and Broker of Record, Lauren Haw, over the past two years, there have been eight available in total — although most have been much larger with two bedrooms.

“In terms of value, the reality is that it is difficult to find anything under $400,000 in Toronto — in fact, there have been only seven sales under $400,000 in 2020 in the area south of Kingston Road, between the Beach and the Guild,” Haw said in a statement to Daily Hive.

However, Haw says it’s important to keep in mind with listings like this is financing, as buyers cannot get a traditional mortgage on this type of property and will need a boat loan.

“All in all, these properties will attract a buyer who appreciates peace and solitude on the water, and the flexibility to move the property in the future. However, as far as properties like this go, they are often very unique and can be tricky to price and sell.”
