The Bentway’s got you covered this summer.

With plenty of opportunities to peruse some art, meet new people, experience live music and entertainment, and eat until you can’t eat no more, the venue under the Gardiner has got plenty planned for the coming months, including a massive block party to get the summer started on Sunday, July 7.

The 2nd Annual Bentway Block Party is free to attend for all ages and it runs throughout the day. You can look forward to plenty of live music and activities that will keep you busy all afternoon and evening, from noon to 10 pm.

This year’s Block Party will be headlined by the Canadian indie rock band, The Elwins, the alt-rock band Elevator, and the indie orchestra Common Deer. You’ll also enjoy performances by the Heavyweight Brass Band and DJ JayemKayem, among others.

And that’s all while taking part in all sorts of activities throughout the day, including face-painting, ping-pong tables, a DIY art collage party, double dutch demonstrations and free jump sessions, and an art installation by Sean Martindale.

And of course—no block party is complete without the eats and drinks. Expect to cool off with Sweet Sammies’ Ice Cream Sandwich cart, and indulge in other nourishment from Pilot Coffee and SPIN Toronto.

Not to mention that the Block Party is kicking off the Bentway’s Sunday Social series, where you can enjoy live music on the Exclaim! Stage with a cold brew in your hand every Sunday from July 7 to August 25.
