The Beer Store reduces hours and pauses recycling across Ontario

Mar 19 2020, 1:42 pm

The Beer Store has announced it will be reducing store hours and pausing recycling at locations across the province in response to COVID-19.

The changes will begin today, March 19, and will continue until March 31.

Hours will be reduced from 10 am to 7 pm, Monday through Saturday, while stores that regularly operate from 10 am to 6 pm will be unaffected.

Sunday hours remain unchanged.

Also effective today is the suspension of empty container returns to all retail stores across Ontario. This too will be in effect until March 31.

Deposits will be honoured in full upon return, when the store resumes regular operations.

The Beer Store is also warning that, at times, limits may be put on the number of customers allowed in stores at once, in order to enhance protection for both customers and staff.

Beer Xpress home delivery and in-store pick up are available in select communities, including most of the GTA, Ottawa, and Kitchener-Waterloo; you can visit this site to learn more.

All updated store hours are available online.
