Man and woman charged following New Year's Eve murder in Brampton

A man and a woman have been charged in relation to a murder that took place on New Year’s Eve in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police say that on Tuesday, December 31, emergency services responded to a shooting at Alderbury Crescent just before midnight. The victim, 17-year-old Jordan Henry, was found, suffering life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds.

Despite first responders’ efforts, Henry died at the scene.

Zakaria Hassan, a 22 year-old man from Hamilton, has been arrested and charged with First Degree Murder. Rukhshar Wahab, a 20 year-old woman from Kitchener, has also been charged with being an Accessory After the Fact.

Investigators are still attempting to identify and locate any further suspect(s) responsible for this incident.
