Washington reports over 2,100 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours

The Washington government has revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll is 2,619 after announcing 16 new deaths since Thursday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 2,132 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 139,543 with 762 current hospitalizations, 87 of which are intubated.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 260,223.
