Washington confirms 11 more coronavirus deaths as cases near 23,000

The Washington government revealed that the state’s COVID-19-related death toll has reached 1,149, after announcing 11 more deaths since Thursday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Department of Health Website, there have been 264 new known cases of coronavirus reported in the last 24 hours.

This brings the state’s confirmed total to 22,993, with 247 hospitalizations, 86 of which are intubated.

Currently, 367,870 tests (approximately 94% of all coronavirus tests in the state) have turned up negative.

The United States’ total death toll now sits at 111,373.
