Massive Van Gogh projection art exhibition coming to Seattle this fall

Mar 11 2021, 6:42 pm

A massive immersive digital art exhibition of works by Vincent van Gogh is slated for Seattle starting in September 2021.

Called Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, the exhibition features the artwork of the famed Dutch artist’s paintings, with the projection on surfaces transporting visitors on a journey to the heart of the artist’s work — allowing the audience to journey through the life of the artist.

Plans to bring the exhibition to Seattle were announced Thursday, but a specific location has yet to be established. The exhibition will operate under the latest public health guidelines in Washington.

The exhibition is a 20,000-square-foot light and sound experience featuring two-storey projections of the artist’s most compelling works.

In addition to large-scale artworks, the exhibition will also include a one-of-a-kind Virtual Reality interactive, which guides you on a 10-minute journey through “a day in the life of the Artist.”
