7 fun things to do in and around Seattle this weekend

Another Friday means new things to do around Seattle.

From online events to physically distanced outdoor activities and more, here are seven things to keep you busy this weekend.

Leave No Trace Jam

What: Join a (socially distanced) monthly meetup to clean up and jam at Freeway Park. From 3:30 to 4 pm, the group will be cleaning up the park. Trash bags will be provided. From 4 to 5:30 pm, play in the park.
When: Saturday, February 6
Time: 3:30 to 5:30 pm
Where: At the fountain near the intersection of 6th and Seneca.

Classic Handmade Ravioli Class

What: If you love fresh ravioli but don’t think you could ever replicate what you would order from a restaurant, this class will prove you wrong. Learn the Chef Instructor’s special recipe for four cheese ravioli sautéed with roasted tomatoes, pesto, garlic, kales, and toasted walnuts.

Frenchie Meetup at the Dog Yard

What: Come out for a socially distanced Frenchie meetup at the Dog Yard Bar. Non-members must pay a standard non-member entry fee of $15 and must bring their dogs’ vaccination records or register online prior to the event.

Ride the Rails

What: Embark on a socially-distanced, scenic train ride through the upper Snoqualmie Valley aboard historic rail equipment. Journey east to North Bend, and then travel west to the top of Snoqualmie Falls before returning.
When: Now through March 26

Raku Firing at Seattle Pottery Supply

What: Bring up to four medium-sized bisqued pottery pieces needing fire and glaze to Seattle Pottery Supply. Glazes for self-application are provided, and our extremely knowledgeable Raku facilitator Eric will be present to fire and answer any questions.
