"Please do not have Thanksgiving gatherings": Gov. Jay Inslee

Governor Jay Inslee, accompanied by his wife Trudi, wished Washingtonians a happy Thanksgiving from their living room Thursday evening.

During a televised message, the Washington Governor explained that in order to make Thanksgiving 2021 a possibility, it’s crucial that we only gather with those in our households.

“When you join us in changing your Thanksgiving and Holiday plans, please know that you’re doing it as an act of love,” Inslee said.

The governor asked the public to rethink the holidays, understanding that most were planning to visit with extended family members.

“This is a temporary situation, we will get back to normal.”
