QFC stores in Seattle are adding plastic barriers between checkouts

Those looking for a safer way to shop can enjoy the new checkout installations going up in Seattle QFC grocery stores.

The screens are currently up at the QFC in Harvard Market and look like plastic shower curtains that are hung from the ceiling to the floor between each checkout aisle.

A representative at QFC told Daily Hive that the screens were just recently installed and will be making their way to other locations shortly.

This isn’t the first change that QFC stores have made during the course of the pandemic. They’ve also banned the use of reusable bags, made free coronavirus testing available to employees, as well as updating store hours to make time for additional sanitization of their stores.
