What to eat in and around Seattle today: Nutty Squirrel Gelato

Apr 23 2021, 7:48 pm

Escape the Seattle heat by enjoying chilled treats from Nutty Squirrel Gelato.

All of their seasonally-rotating gelatos are made from scratch, using local, fresh, and rBST-free whole milk. After adding their ingredients, they gently pasteurize the milk to preserve its nutrients.

Nutty Squirrel Gelato is against using emulsifiers. They instead immerse the bases in a cooling tank for at least 12 hours so that the ingredients naturally bind together.

We suggest starting with one of their classic flavors like stracciatella, chocolate fondente, pistachio, sea salt caramel, or espresso.

Right now, seasonal flavors include nutty squirrel, girl scout thin mints, lemon custard cookie, tropical yogurt, vegan dark chocolate, vegan pink grapefruit sorbetto, and vegan forest berries sorbetto.

In addition to gelato, Nutty Squirrel also serves up espresso, fresh baked cookies, french macarons, lava cakes, and other delicious baked goods.
