A 62-year-old man is in custody for the murder of two people after their remains were located in West Seattle earlier this year.

In June, a video of teenagers finding human remains in Seattle began trending online.

On July 30, Seattle Police homicide detectives and the King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the bags found by the teens, in fact, contained human remains. The remains were identified to be two individuals: a 27-year-old male and a 36-year-old female.

On Thursday, a suspect at a residence in Burien was interviewed before being booked into the King County Jail for the crime.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Seattle Police Department’s Violent Crimes tip line at 206-233-5000.
