What to eat in and around Seattle today: Aviv Hummus Bar

Apr 12 2021, 7:50 pm

You’ve had hummus before, but you haven’t had Aviv Shawarma Bar’s hummus.

The restaurant makes all of their own hummus and toppings, which include everything from perfectly spiced ground beef to supple mushrooms sauteed with onions.

The spot serves up six types of hummus bowls, all of which can be modified to include a boiled egg, falafel, hatzilim, hot chick peas, and even extra hummus — adding hummus to a hummus bowl, amazing.

In addition, the restaurant serves two types of falafel, one with chopped pickles, cabbage, cucumber, and tomato, and the other with hummus, fried eggplant, boiled egg, cabbage, onion, salad, parsley, scallions, tahini, and amba.

We also love the plated falafel, where you can customize each bite.

Before you leave, be sure to order the malabi rosewater pudding or shachar chocolate spread.
