A massive festival for pet lovers is returning to Seattle next spring

Dec 17 2019, 10:00 pm

Puppies, cats, rabbits, and lizards, we love them all. If you’re also a pet person, Petpalooza in Auburn is where to be next May.

A quick 45-minute drive out of Downtown Seattle brings you to the special day designed just for animals and their human friends alike.

Kick-off your day with the activity that your dog loves best: running. Enter the dog trot at 9:30 am at Game Farm Park. Although the run is chip-timed, it’s still a family-oriented fun run that is enjoyable for all ages.

Participants of the run can choose to follow a 3K or a 5K route, with water available on both for dogs and their humans. The first hundred people to register will receive a free t-shirt as well as a goodie bag.

Once the race is over, the fun and games commence. First visit the pig races, FlyDog and agility demos, as well as pony rides.

Then, enter your pet in the Northwest Pet Contest, or watch other creatures take center stage at the animal-related entertainment stage and agility area.

Petpalooza is for more than just furry friends, you’ll meet a ton of other animals at the event, too. Last year featured chickens, a goat, a tortoise, and even a parrot.
