Link trains from Capitol Hill to SODO will not be running this weekend
If you’re relying on transit this weekend, we’ve got some bad news.
Beginning on Thursday, 6 at 9 pm, Sound Transit will be stopping Link train service between Capitol Hil and SODO, impacting five stops. The disruption is set to last through the end of service Sunday.
During the closures, shuttle buses will operate every seven minutes during Link service hours. The free shuttles will serve SODO, Stadium, International District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square, University Street, Westlake, and Capitol Hill stations.
All of the current Link changes, including reduced service, is due to the construction of tracks to connect International District/Chinatown Station to the new East Link tracks that will bring the light rail to Judkins Park, Mercer Island, Bellevue, and Redmond in 2023.
