Guinness releases St. Patrick's Day video in response to coronavirus
In a video posted to Twitter, iconic Irish beer company Guinness issued a message to all of its fans in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, which, undoubtedly, feels a little off this year due to countless celebrations being canceled amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“We know that St. Patrick’s Day feels different this year,” the tweet reads.
“So however you choose to celebrate, stay safe and be good to one another.”
The video explains how Guinness has been in operation for 260 years, and that they have felt honored to be included in generations of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
Although this year certainly feels different because of the coronavirus pandemic, the company explains they have learned that “we’re pretty tough when we stick together.”

Additionally, Guinness disclosed that it would be committing $500,000 through their Guinness Gives Back Fund to assist local communities impacted by coronavirus.
“On St. Patrick’s Day, we’re all Irish,” the video explains.
“But let’s not forget that every day, we’re all human. What matters is being with people you care about. Whether you’re planning to safely celebrate at the pub, or hosting at home. If you can call the people around you friends or family — you’ve already won.”
The company assures viewers, “Don’t worry. We’ll march again.”
