Two dead after multiple shootings in Seattle this week

Two separate shootings took place in Seattle on Monday evening and Tuesday morning.

Officers first responded to a report of shots fired at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and East Cherry Street at 10:15 pm Monday. According to the Seattle Police Department, upon arrival at the scene, two people were found on the ground who had reportedly been shot. Officers provided first aid to one of the victims, while the second victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Seattle Fire Department Medics.

A third victim was transported by private vehicle to Harborview Medical Center. Detectives are attempting to determine if this victim was injured during this shooting or if there was another scene.

At 4:15 am Tuesday, officers responded to reports of shots fired at the Everspring Motel in the 8200 block of Aurora Avenue North. Officers arrived and located the victim, a 49-year-old male, in the lobby with a gunshot wound. They immediately provided first aid until the Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite the life-saving measures, the victim was declared deceased at the scene.
