President Joe Biden will sign 10 executive orders on Thursday to fight the coronavirus pandemic, including one requiring that people wear masks on planes and buses.

According to the White House, heads of executive departments and agencies will require compliance with CDC guidelines to make mask-wearing and maintaining physical distancing mandatory.

“Put simply, masks and other public health measures reduce the spread of the disease, particularly when communities make widespread use of such measures, and thus save lives,” reads an executive order from President Joe Biden.

In addition to all travelers wearing masks in airports, international travelers will be required to have a negative COVID-19 test prior to returning to the US and to quarantine upon arrival.
