Eion Colfer, known for his young adult series Artemis Fowl, will be touring his highly anticipated adult fantasy book later this month — and you bet, Seattle’s made the cut.
While his young adult novels in the Artemis Fowl series have captivated audiences of all ages, Highfire is Colfer’s first adult fantasy book. The story, of course, features a vodka-drinking, Flashdance-loving dragon who crosses paths with a teenager on the run.

While the book is officially released on January 28, 2020, lucky early-release readers have left only positive reviews:
Well I’ve just finished #highfire, the new book from @EoinColfer. One of the funniest, cleverest, rudest, sweariest, bestest books I’ve read in ages. Can’t wait to meet Eoin, mainly to commend him on ending a book with the words “balls out”. Superb stuff.

Fourth book of 2020 was Highfire by Eoin Colfer, his first adult fantasy, about the last of the dragons who’s holed up in a Louisiana swamp. LOVED IT. #blogtour review coming shortly.

Highfire by Eoin Colfer is completely bonkers, but so much fun! I suggest you keep it on your radar, friends, since it’s not every day that you get to read a book with a vodka-drinking dragon, especially by one of your favorite writers from childhood pic.twitter.com/J3j4haEawe
