What to eat in and around Seattle today: City Teriyaki

We Seattleites love our teriyaki. There’s something about the sweetness of the sauce paired with perfect rice that just completes a meal.

One of the best spots to chow down on the Japanese dish happens to be in Columbia City, at City Teriyaki.

The restaurant serves up not only tasty Japanese-inspired eats but halal and vegan-friendly ones too.

You can’t go to a teriyaki spot without trying some sort of signature dish. City Teriyaki has eleven teriyaki mains, consisting of teriyaki chicken, teriyaki burger with pineapple, spicy teriyaki chicken with pineapple, teriyaki fried tofu, teriyaki chicken breast, teriyaki salmon, teriyaki beef, teriyaki beef short ribs, teriyaki shrimp, teriyaki chicken and beef, and teriyaki short ribs and chicken.

The spot also serves up fried tempura, yakisoba noodles, and karaage chicken. Those looking for sides can chow down on egg rolls, fries, mac salad, miso soup, edamame, gyoza, and more.
